Therapy is deeper therapeutic support for emotional wellbeing, mental health, trauma patterns, anxiety, depression, neurodivergence, nervous system regulation, self-worth, relationships and long-standing patterns.
Therapy may explore your history, emotional patterns, protective responses, nervous system, beliefs, relationships and current symptoms. It is suitable when you are wanting support with mental health, emotional distress or deeper personal healing.
Coaching is more future-focused and goal-focused. It supports you to clarify what you want, identify what is blocking you, reconnect with your values and take aligned action.
Coaching may be helpful if you are feeling stuck, lacking direction, wanting to make a change, building confidence, working through limiting beliefs or wanting support to create a more fulfilling life.
Therapy at A Moments Practice is collaborative, reflective and practical.
Sessions may include talking therapy, nervous system education, emotional regulation tools, somatic awareness, values exploration, belief work, creative reflection and practical strategies for everyday life.
The work is holistic, trauma-informed, neuroaffirming and grounded in the whole person.
Coaching is structured, reflective and action-focused.
Sessions may include values clarification, goal setting, belief exploration, mindset work, emotional blocks, motivation, decision-making and aligned action steps.
Coaching is designed to help you move forward with more clarity, confidence and direction.
If you are experiencing significant anxiety, depression, trauma responses, emotional overwhelm, relationship distress, neurodivergent burnout, low self-worth or long-standing patterns that feel difficult to shift, therapy may be more appropriate.
If you are emotionally stable but feeling stuck, unmotivated, unclear, disconnected from your values or ready to take action towards a specific life change, coaching may be a good fit.
If you are unsure, the intake form will help determine which pathway may be most suitable.
The initial assessment session is a 60-minute appointment where we explore what has brought you to therapy, your current concerns, goals, relevant history, support needs and whether A Moments Practice is the right fit for you.
This session helps create a clear starting point for therapy and allows us to understand what kind of support may be most helpful moving forward.
